BILINGUAL Credit & Collections Associate (French/English) We are seeking organized self-starters who are results-oriented and customer driven professionals to join our Credit & Collections Team in our Etobicoke location. Excellent communication in both official languages a must. The Bilingual Credit & Collections Associate is responsible for accurate and timely 1st party collections of accounts receivables from Primus Canada customers. The main function of this position is to make & answer collection calls on overdue accounts. The desired results are accomplished through direct contact on the telephone, distribution of letters and /or the interruption of the service; without losing sight of professional and courteous customer service. |

Qualifications: |
|
| Bilingual (French/English). | |
| Preferred Education: Post Secondary Education in a related field. Minimum Education: Secondary School Diploma | |
| Up to 1 year of experience in Customer Service, Credit/Collections and/or Accounts Receivables | |
| PC Skills - working knowledge of Windows, MS Word, EXCEL and Outlook. | |
| Superior customer service skills | |
| Strong oral/written communication skills | |
| Exceptional organizational and time management skills | |
| Ability to multi-task in a fast paced call centre | |
| Detail–oriented and ability to work under minimal supervision | |
| Excellent judgment and decision making skills | |
| Working knowledge of call centre telephone system, an asset | |
Responsibilities: |
|
| Make outbound calls on 30, 60 and over 90 day overdue accounts | |
| Make approx. 125-150 outbound collection calls per day, on accounts over 31 days | |
| Handle approx. 50-75 incoming customer calls to the Collections unit and provide effective response and resolution | |
| Suspension of service for accounts 91 days and over, high toll, returned payments in conjunction with the automated collections treatment | |
| Provide account details and invoice copies to the customers to facilitate payments | |
| Review suspended accounts, complete further collections, re-activate the service for customers when full payment is received | |
| Encourage pre-authorized payments and/or collect activation fee or security deposit from customers to reduce future delinquency on accounts that have been listed with a collection agency or have otherwise been rated delinquent | |
| Work closely with Risk Management Associates to identify and resolve credit or risk related issues | |
| Contact new customers to advise if their account has been approved or a security deposit is required for activation. | |
| Assume all clerical functions related to post call processing | |
| Identify delinquent issues requiring escalations to the Team Manager and/or Senior Manager | |
