Netscape Messenger 7 Configuration

Please follow the following steps to configure Netscape 7 (Mozilla). Before you start you will need to know your MyPrimus.com Email Address and password.

  1. In Netscape Messenger, click on Edit, then on Mail / News Account Settings.

  2. From this window, click on Outgoing (SMTP) Server and type smtp.primus.ca in the Server Name: box. Make sure that Always use name and password is checked.

  3. Now it is time to create your account profile. To do this, click on New Account. This will activate the Account Wizard.

  4. Make sure that ISP or email provider is selected then click on Next.

  5. In the Your Name: box, type in the name you wish to use with this email account. (Most people just use their real names).

  6. Type your Primus.ca Email Account in the Email Address: box. Click on Next when finished.

  7. Make sure that Server Type: has POP Mail Server selected from the drop-down menu.

  8. Type pop.primus.ca in the Server Name: box. Click on Next when finished.

  9. Type your Primus.ca username (usually the same as your email address) in the User Name: box. Click on Next when done.

  10. Enter a friendly name for this account in the Account Name: box. Click on Next to continue.

  11. You are now finished. Make sure that the information you entered is correct and click on Finish.
