- New Mail: Press this button to write a new e-mail message.
- Reply: This button creates a reply to the currently selected message.
- Reply All: Press this button to create a reply that will be sent to the original sender and any others that received this message.
- Forward: Send a copy of the currently select message to someone else.
- Print: Prints out the current e-mail message.
- Delete: Erases the current message.
- Send / Recv: This button transmits all outbound messages as well as checks for new mail.
- Addresses: This is where you would keep all your contact information.
- Find: Searches the current mailbox for a given topic / person.
New E-mail Buttons
- Send: This places your message in your outbox, ready to be sent.
- Cut: Deletes selected text and places it in your clipboard.
- Copy: Copies the selected text onto your clipboard.
- Paste: Pastes the content of your clipboard to your message.
- Undo: Cancels your last action.
- Check: Searches through your address book for a matching address.
- Spelling: Checks the spelling of your message.
- Attach: Use this button to include a file with your message. This is useful to send a document or image.
- Priority: Some e-mail programs can sort your messages by priority, use this button to set it.
- Sign: If you possess a digital ID, you can sign your message digitally to ensure that the recipient knows it is from you.
- Encrypt: This button electronically scrambles your message so that only you or the recipient can read it. Good for sensitive information.
- Offline: Lets you work on your email messages without being connected to the Internet.
